Join a Friends group and visit a Friends bookstore.

Friends of the Library groups are independent, non-profit organizations composed of volunteers who support local libraries. They raise funds, advocate for the library, and promote it’s services within the community. These groups are distinct from the library’s administration but work closely with it’s staff and board.

Many Friends of the Library groups help fund and support their local library programs through volunteer-operated bookstores.  Gently used donated hardcover and paperback books, are among the items available at reasonable prices.  Please call or visit the branch nearest you for information how you can shop the Friends of the Library bookstore and support your local library.
